ABOUT CHLOE

As a designer, I specialise in designing innovative and functional furniture and interiors, with expertise in prototyping, 3D visualisation, and material exploration. I thrive in fast-paced environments, meeting deadlines through a solution-oriented approach, and ensuring every detail is well considered. My work combines a deep understanding of sustainability and aesthetics to create designs that meet the needs of clients, and end users. My experience spans bespoke and mass-produced furniture for retail, hospitality and build to rent projects.

DESIGN TIMELINE

DESIGNER
DEKA (2.10 YEARS + ONGOING)

As the sole designer, I have been responsible for leading the design and development of products, creating in-house designs while collaborating with external designers, suppliers, and manufacturers. I’ve played a key role in the company’s growth, helping it expand from launch to a 9-person team within a year. My role combines innovation, technical expertise, and creative direction, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to production. Additionally, I play a key role post-design, generating ideas and supporting the execution of photoshoots, exhibitions, and events in collaboration with the marketing team.

DESIGNER
THE COLLECTIVE  (1.7 YEARS)

As the sole designer, I was responsible for creating bespoke design solutions and producing detailed production drawings for large-scale commercial interior projects. At the same time, I supported the founder in developing DEKA, a sister brand focused on furniture design, balancing both roles as the company expanded.

JUNIOR DESIGNER
THE COLLECTIVE

I created technical drawings for TCA's acoustic panels and hanging ceiling baffles. Using AutoCAD, I provided clients with detailed drawings and visuals for approval. I also contributed to the development of drawing policies and the creation of new design systems to streamline the design process.

DESIGN + MARKETING COORDINATOR
MODUS FURNITURE (3.6 YEARS)

Provide support for the design team whilst delivering a range of marketing and PR admin and coordination activities. My primary responsibilities included planning, designing and managing product launches, trade events, photoshoots, launch events and exhibitions. I also supported the design team during the product launch stage by creating 3D visualisations, CAD files and technical information cards.

DESIGN + INTERN
MODUS FURNITURE

Shadowing and working alongside the design team, performing both practical and computer based work. The requirements of the role were to carry out the duties that were assigned by the company and to carry these out consistently. The responsibilities inevitably varied and developed, considering the changing needs and growth of the business.

ART CURATOR
SOUTH WEST CREATIVES

During my free time, I founded South West Creatives (SWC), a non-profit platform that celebrates artists, designers, and curators in the South West. SWC aims to foster a creative community within Somerset and bridge the gap between individuals in the creative industry and those interested in it.
